Would make more sense to go for the i7 920 & a better cooler such as the fenrir or the Thermalright Venomous X considering they overclock to about the same and the 920 is far cheaper atm. Also the Corsair HX 850 is insanely expensive, the Antec TruePower 650W should do the job just fine and would save you quite a bit too. I'd think about dropping down to a 1TB drive if that's going to be your main system drive as they tend to be slightly faster (particularly the WD Black 64MB).

As with the above really, I've got a 920 on a Fenrir and Gigabyte X58-UD5, sits at 4.2GHz all day long with temps hovering just above 40.

If you can recycle the PSU in your sig then do it, cut the HDD down the 1TB and spend the rest on an SSD for the OS ;) My build started with an install on 500GB Barracuda, and upgrading to an X25-M was the best move I ever made :)

The Vapor-X 5870 is a nice cool running card, just be aware that the new versions do not allow voltage adjustment for heavy duty overclocking. I have also heard Antec-Tri cools are a little noisy, maybe Akasa AK-FN058's, some quality Scythe GentleTypoons or Noctuas would be a viable alternative.

I was a bit concerned about whether those larger coolers would fit in the P193. Does anyone own a P193 and can tell me some coolers that defo fit?

From having a quick look around "The maximum height for heat sink fans with the P193 is 140mm." so the fenrir won't actually fit. :(

Okay, thanks for the feedback guys. Below is my adjusted spec.

I'm interested in hearing more case/cooler suggestions. Emphasis is on the system being quiet, I don't plan on overclocking. I don't want a window or lights.

Code:
GPU	5870 Vapor-X £355.68
CPU	i7 920 £174.99
MOBO	P6T Deluxe £215.98
RAM	3x2GB Corsair XMS3 £133.99
PSU	Antec 750W Modular £98.99
HDD	F3 1TB £57.97
DVD	Samsung DVD R/W £14.99

HSF	Freezer 7 Rev2 £18.99
CASE	P193 £125.69
FANS	2x Antec TriCool £20.00

		             £1,217.27

Coolermaster Hyper 212 possibly? From what I remember the Freezer isn't particularly quiet and I'm not sure you can change the fan on it.

I did look at that, is there anything specifically better about that than the Asus? I don't mind paying the difference for a BIOS I'm familiar with - unless there's a good reason not to.

Also, if I'm not getting an SSD. And I don't own any USB 3.0 devices (hardly use USB at all tbh). Is there any other benefit of either board over the P6T Deluxe?

nah I think the motheroard is just built slightly better, get the Asus Stulid suggested if ur more familiar with the bios, I too have 3 mobos only Gigabyte because I like them

The board is just overall better than the P6T Deluxe, giving you the option to use those features later, even if you don't use them I'd still buy it over the P6T Deluxe
